Senior AI Engineer Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer to play a key role in our team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering skills and practical AI/LLM expertise, enabling them to design and deliver high-quality, AI-enabled software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-throughput APIs that integrate with and leverage AI services, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Make strategic architectural decisions on API security, scalability, reliability, and the incorporation of LLMs into our platform, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Lead integration solutions using Spring Boot 3.x, reactive patterns (WebFlux), and API gateways (Apigee) while mentoring junior developers, fostering growth and development within the team.
  • Champion improvements in integration best practices (performance, security) with a focus on enabling AI-driven applications and ensuring efficient content retrieval workflows where relevant.
Technical Leadership & Architecture:

The successful candidate will drive:

  • Architectural direction for integration patterns that incorporate AI components, such as RAG, models, and agents.
  • Technology choices for new solutions around Gen AI usage, vector databases, and AI frameworks (SpringAI, LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI).
  • API standards and security patterns.
  • SLA and performance requirements.
Cross-functional Leadership:

The selected candidate will partner with Product Owners to shape technical requirements and best approaches for AI-enabled product features, translating business goals into architectural designs.

Requirements:
  • Strong backend engineering skills.
  • Practical AI/LLM expertise.
  • Experience with Spring Boot 3.x, reactive patterns (WebFlux), and API gateways (Apigee).
  • Knowledge of AI frameworks (SpringAI, LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI).
