Lycopodium Limited is a global engineering and project delivery company, delivering high-quality services across the mining and metals, infrastructure, and process industries. We are currently recruiting for a Design Layout Specialist to join our dynamic Perth-based team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled mechanical design professional to contribute to the success of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality models and design drawings from design engineer calculations and sketches, as well as managing and supervising drafting resources assigned to allocated tasks.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mechanical design and drafting, with proficiency in design layout and detailing of materials handling and process plants. They will also possess excellent supervision skills, understanding of fabrication and construction techniques in the materials handling industry, and relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering Design Drafting.

As a Design Layout Specialist at Lycopodium Limited, you will work collaboratively with personnel across all business units, ensuring that project schedules and man-hour budgets are met for areas of assigned work. You will also maintain progress details for drawings produced by personnel under your supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing high-quality models and design drawings from design engineer calculations and sketches
  • Management of drafting resources assigned to allocated tasks
  • Ensuring design drawings comply with all relevant Australian and International standards
  • Produce plant layouts from preliminary project data and design information
  • Reviewing of vendor drawings and design data
  • Maintaining progress details for drawings produced by personnel under your supervision
