Smart Construction Academic Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a highly accomplished Associate Professor to join our world-class STEM College as a key academic leader in Smart Construction.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering innovative contributions that advance the School's scholarly, research, and professional capabilities at national and international levels. They will also contribute significantly to teaching and learning, with a focus on improving student outcomes.

In this exciting role, you will direct award programs and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs. Your expertise in construction management, digital transformation in construction, and building engineering will be invaluable in driving excellence within the School, University, and across professional, commercial, and industry sectors.

To succeed in this position, you will possess a PhD in Civil Engineering and demonstrated ability to direct award programs and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct award programs and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs.
  • Deliver original and innovative contributions that advance the School's scholarly, research, and professional capabilities at both national and international levels.
  • Contribute strongly to teaching and learning, with a focus on improving student outcomes.
  • Provide academic leadership and service on committees across the Department, School, College, and University.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Civil Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to direct award programs and implement program improvements and innovative approaches to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs.
  • Nationally recognised research track record including substantial record of research outputs in high-quality outlets and emerging international recognition in construction management, digital transformation in construction, and building engineering.
