About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join our team at Evolve Therapy Collective. As a leading provider of occupational therapy services, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional care and improving the lives of our clients throughout the Gold Coast to Lismore region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize client strengths, needs, and goals, working closely with families and support networks.
  • Help clients improve daily living skills and participation in their chosen communities, fostering independence and well-being.
  • Utilize evidence-based mental health interventions such as cognitive rehabilitation, mindfulness training, or vocational rehabilitation.
  • Provide advanced clinical supervision to junior therapists and students, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless client care.
Requirements
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy with extensive experience in mental health occupational therapy.
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of how occupational performance relates to mental health conditions.
  • Demonstrates expertise in mental health occupational therapy assessment tools and intervention strategies.
  • Possesses extensive experience within the NDIS sector and has a proven ability to write comprehensive, high-quality functional assessment reports including SIL/ILO/SDA.
  • Has a proven ability to assess and address needs related to activities of daily living, functional performance, and social participation.
  • Is a strong advocate for a client-centered approach and fosters positive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills to document progress, collaborate with clients and families, and advocate for client needs.
  • Holds current AHPRA registration, valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), National Police Check, and a valid Australian driver's license.
  • Has a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with evidence-based practices.
