
Caregiver for Individuals with Acquired Brain Injuries

We are seeking a passionate and empathetic Support Worker to provide care and assistance to an individual with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the participant's daily life, including supervision, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), and promoting their independence.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal skills, a calm demeanor, and a genuine interest in music, sports, and the outdoors. They will also require current certifications in First Aid and CPR, National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and a valid Australian Driver's License.
Competitive hourly rate: $40 per hour. Casual position available Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance with ADLs, including showering, toileting, and dressing
- Supervise and accompany the participant during mobilization and other activities
- Encourage and promote the participant's hobbies and interests
- Assist with transportation to appointments and outings
Essential Selection Criteria:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current National Police Check
- Current Working with Children Check
- Valid Australian Driver's License
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working with individuals with ABI
- Knowledge of disability support principles and practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
