We are seeking an academic to join our team in a teaching and research role focused on transport engineering.
The position covers the delivery of high-quality teaching and research with emphasis on emerging technologies such as predictive modelling, real-time traffic analytics, and autonomous vehicle integration. The successful candidate will contribute to sustainable mobility and smart infrastructure in a leading transport engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching and research in transport engineering, focusing on emerging technologies.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs and curricula.
- Engage in high-impact research and scholarly activity aligned with ARC fellowship appointments, as part of a teaching and research team.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and participate in service activities within the School and University.
- A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
- Proven commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Experience in teaching and learning design, development, and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Evidence of teaching effectiveness and passion for educational excellence, including curriculum design and development across varied levels and scales.
- Knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning (desirable).
- Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and to promote equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Demonstrated research track record with high-quality, impactful outcomes and potential for leadership in research.
- Involvement with the profession and/or industry.
- Strong communication and networking skills with a diverse range of students and staff.
- Ability to work collaboratively in teams and across disciplines.
