Perth College is seeking an experienced and passionate Head Psychologist to lead our Psychologist and Counselling team in supporting the wellbeing of students.

The successful candidate will contribute to the proactive approach of progressing student wellbeing and provide therapeutic support for students, predominantly within the Senior School.

This is a full-time ongoing position; however, we are open to considering a high part-time role for the right candidate.

The Head Psychologist's primary role is to provide psychological services to students within the School and to work with other staff in supporting students and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting psychometric, psychological and educational assessments involving intellectual and achievement assessment tools, clinical measures, interviews and observations.
  2. Determining, designing and implementing effective interventions which promote positive educational and psychological outcomes for young people.
  3. Building positive relationships with students, staff and parents that result in improved outcomes for students.
  4. Developing and facilitating programs and/or workshops for students, staff and members of the School community.
  5. Working collaboratively and energetically within a dynamic organisation.

The ideal candidate will have considerable experience in providing psychological counselling to young adolescents and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
