Job Opportunity

This role involves working in a brand-new purpose-built service, providing support to individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. The successful candidate will work in Mintlaw, supporting 5 people who require ongoing care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Offer person-centred support, promoting independence and wellbeing for the people we support.
  • Participate in various activities like walking, cycling, arts and crafts, baking, cooking, social outings, and community activities.
  • Assist with daily living needs and contribute to 24-hour staffing requirements, including overnight duties or potential sleepovers/smart technology.
  • Maintain supportive relationships and encourage engagement in community activities and outings.
  • Apply Positive Behaviour Support methods when necessary and participate in specialist training and professional development.
Requirements
  • Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, with flexibility, reliability, and motivation essential.
  • SVQ Level 3 in Social Care preferred, or relevant experience in social care considered.
  • A female colleague is required due to a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
  • A manual UK driving licence is mandatory.
