The position of General Surgeon is available within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional clinical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

• Provide expert medical assessment and management of patients with general surgical conditions in the emergency department, inpatients, and outpatients at the relevant hospital.
• Ensure the provision of specialist general surgery services to all patients within the district, adhering to the highest standards of care and safety.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree or equivalent.
• Completion of a general surgical training program or equivalent.
• Current registration as a medical practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
