Our team is growing within the ISS Resources Division, and we invite you to explore our Fly-In-Fly-Out and Drive-In-Drive-Out Utility vacancies. These opportunities will be based out of Cairns and will work at our new site at Oak Rush Village in regional Queensland.

The primary objective of these roles is to effectively complete all cleaning, dining room, and tavern operations within our remote village camps, exceeding customer expectations while meeting contractual agreements.

Cleaning Positions:

  • Clean resident rooms, storage areas, and other areas within the village
  • Strip and seal floors
  • Replenish resident room supplies
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, dust, polish, and remove rubbish and other cleaning duties as required

Kitchen Positions:

  • Assist in food preparation
  • Ensure all food produced meets kitchen recipes and standards
  • Check food storage and handling comply with current food health and hygiene regulations
  • Collect and dispose of garbage from all kitchen areas each shift

Grounds Positions:

  • General works and maintenance, including mowing, grounds cleaning activities, and operating machinery
  • Weeding and spraying

Food and Beverage Positions:

  • Provide food and beverage service to required service standards
  • Maintain cleaning schedules
  • Ensure accurate cash handling and follow procedures
  • General bar duties as required
  • Ensure all areas are fully stocked during service periods
  • Keep tables and service areas clean and tidy

Minimum Criteria:

  • Excellent communicators with a customer-focused attitude essential
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Manual driver's license
  • Police clearance less than 3 months old
  • Ability to pass a full medical
  • Versatile and willing to work in any department, as required
  • Positive attitude to work
  • RSA certificate

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience in FIFO tavern, dining room, cleaning, or housekeeping roles
  • QLD Construction Whitecard
