We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Chapter Lead to join our Technology team at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is between AU$180,000 and AU$250,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

In this exciting role, you'll lead and mentor a team of talented data scientists to deliver high-quality solutions leveraging machine learning, statistical modelling, and generative AI. You'll work closely with stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and other teams to develop and implement best-in-class AI solutions supporting group strategy.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven track record of successfully leading data science initiatives from inception to execution, delivering tangible business results.
  • Deep expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience in programming languages such as Python, R, Spark, Teradata SQL, SAS.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex technical solutions into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
