Delicatessen Team Member Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Delicatessen Team Member to join our team. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment, preparing and serving a variety of products to customers.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with food and have excellent customer service skills.

The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team and maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve deli items such as meats, cheeses, and breads
  • Assist customers with purchasing decisions and provide recommendations on product selection
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the deli counter and surrounding areas
  • Monitor product freshness and rotation, ensuring that all products are sold or used before expiration
  • Restock shelves and update product displays as needed
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants should have:

  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in a food service or retail environment preferred
  • Skills:
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 16 kgs repetitively throughout the duration of their shift
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions
  • Physical Demands:
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Reaching and lifting products from shelves
  • Using manual dexterity to prepare and package products
