Civil Vacuum Excavation/Sucker Truck Operator

TRN Group, a leading civil engineering and haulage company, is seeking a skilled Civil Vacuum Excavation/Sucker Truck Operator to join their team. With over 50 years of experience in the industry, TRN Group has a strong reputation for delivering high-quality services to private and public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vacuum excavation unit and associated equipment for potholing/NDD of underground services, cleaning storm water pipelines, and other related tasks.
  • Locate services, including power, communications, water, gas, drainage, and sewer.
  • Return written defect reports to the Workshop for action.
  • Perform periodic services and maintain a high degree of cleanliness and serviceability of Company Vehicles.
  • Complete daily paperwork and comply with all IMS procedures and policies.

Requirements:

  • Current NSW HR unrestricted driver's licence.
  • WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
  • Previous experience in Vacuum Excavation.
  • General knowledge of Plant and servicing requirements for periodic services.
  • Physical fitness and health to perform manual tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Reliability, safety, and caution as a truck driver.
  • Demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team.
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels.
  • Practical common-sense approach to tasks.

Applicants with service locating experience will be considered favourably. In return, you will receive an attractive hourly rate and benefits, plus training as required. This is a great opportunity to work close to home.

A one-off bonus of $800 (gross) payable to the successful applicants upon successful completion of their probation period.
