We are seeking a seasoned Senior Financial Professional to lead our accounting team. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a proven track record in taxation, leadership, portfolio management, and legislative expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Prepare Income Tax Returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, and companies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare Interim and Year End Financial Statements, monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS), and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) and Payroll Tax returns.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage a team of Accountants, meet and communicate directly with clients to manage queries, and monitor compliance deadlines and lodgement due dates for clients.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or similar field.
  • Possess excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of XERO, Excel, and MYOB.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with taxation structures, Division 7a, CGT, small business concessions, and superannuation.
  • Experience reviewing jobs started by juniors, providing training, mentoring, and direction.
  • Experience with budgeting, cash flows, and other management accounting.
