About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health and Physical Education Educator to join our team at a welcoming P-9 school community in Truganina. As a key member of our Sports faculty, you will be responsible for teaching PE/Health to students in Years 7-9, working closely with the Sports team to design and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the Victorian Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality PE lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, incorporating health education components to promote students' understanding of health-related topics.
  • Provide clear instruction and demonstration of movement skills, sports techniques, and fitness exercises, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Conduct physical fitness assessments to evaluate students' strength, flexibility, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness levels, and assess students' progress and achievement in PE through various forms of assessment.
  • Organize and maintain PE equipment, sports gear, and facilities to ensure they are safe, functional, and accessible for students.
Requirements
  • Full Australian Working right
  • Minimum 4-year Bachelor's Degree with at least 1 year teaching qualification
  • Current VIT registration or working towards this
  • Ability to provide contact details for at least two education-based references from within the last 5 years
