Medical Director

We are seeking a Senior Medical Practitioner to join our team at Collie Hospital and help meet the expanding emergency needs of the local hospital.

This is a recruitment pool to fill Permanent (Full-Time, Part-Time or Sessional) and/or Fixed Term (Full-Time, Part-Time or Sessional) appointments.

Fixed Term employments include the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

• Attending to patients in our Emergency Department in Collie, with an opportunity to expand your work to Bunbury Hospital, with the support of WACHS Telehealth Service (ETS)
• Assist hospital staff and local general practitioners in providing after-hours and emergency responses to inpatients.
• Develop advanced skillsets in Anaesthetics, Surgery and/or Emergency Medicine
• Mentor the next generation of rural medical practitioners with an opportunity to teach and supervise students in their medical career

• Deliver high-quality patient care and provide effective treatment plans
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive outcomes
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with local communities and healthcare providers
• Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and technologies

• An opportunity to develop your skills and qualifications in a large regional emergency department.
• Support to complete a Certificate and/or Diploma in Emergency Medicine – strengthening your ability to deliver emergency care
• Have an opportunity to be employed by the Rural Clinical School of WA (RSCWA) and you could provide education to resident medical students.
