Job Title: Supply Chain Associate
The role of a Supply Chain Associate is pivotal in the organization, ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials, finished products, and serviced goods according to Lean Manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receives, inspects, stores, packages, and transports product (including material transactions via MRP system) according to policies, procedures, work instructions, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Ensures timely receipt and issuance of materials to meet internal and external customer expectations.
- Verifies incoming/outgoing shipment accuracy against Sales/Purchase Orders and resolves discrepancies.
- Documents damages during shipping/receiving and notifies shippers and carriers.
- Completes material transactions via MRP system as required.
- Stocks items, monitors material levels, and meets internal/external customer demand.
- Pulls and delivers requested materials to departments and suppliers.
- Performs cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Executes improvement programs (Kaizens) to reduce inventory while improving stock availability and reducing cycle times.
- Ensures proper packaging and labeling for safe delivery.
- Organizes storage space to accommodate materials and products.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience in Warehousing, Inventory, Receiving, and/or Shipping.
- Lean Manufacturing experience (Kanban, 5S, PFEP, Point of use, FIFO, Material Flow, Value Stream Mapping).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, confirm own workmanship, and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer operation including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Operation of powered fork lift and electric pallet jack equipment.
- Haz-Mat/DG material Training.
- Reliable Transportation.
