About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our second line Operational Risk Team. In this role, you will provide independent review and challenge across the Retail Bank and their implementation of the Operational Risk Framework.

You will review and challenge the scope and outcomes of business risk reporting and key risk indicators, targeted assessments, significant incidents, project and assurance activities to ensure best practice is implemented and opportunities for improvement are identified.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent review and challenge across the Retail Bank and their implementation of the Operational Risk Framework.
  • Review and challenge the scope and outcomes of business risk reporting and key risk indicators, targeted assessments, significant incidents, project and assurance activities.
  • Ensure best practice is implemented and opportunities for improvement are identified.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a control function, assurance or internal/external audit role, within a financial or professional services firm.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask, present new ideas and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Tenacious and agile, with a proven ability to sustain high levels of performance in a fast-paced, output focused environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to uncover hidden insights and form an independent view of the risk profile of the organisation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders to build effective working relationships.
