Clinical Coding Pre-Billing Auditor

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Coding Pre-Billing Auditor to join our Health Information Services team at our hospital.

  • This role supports our clinical coding team in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of coded data for billing purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to clinical coders on Australian Clinical Coding Standards and national/state coding advice
  • Review coded episodes prior to invoicing to minimize errors
  • Resolve ambiguities in coding and documentation by seeking clarification from relevant committees and clinicians
Requirements:
  • HIMAA Intermediate/Advanced Clinical Coding or auditing course
  • Strong background in clinical coding with at least 5 years of recent experience at a medium to large acute hospital
  • Ability to work with MS Excel and other software tools
