At Jacobs, we're driving innovation in the global Resources Sector, where energy transition and decarbonisation are top priorities. We're seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead consultancy services, engineering activities, and technical direction in design for our Resources Hub.

About the Role

  • Resources Hub and Market: As a key member of our team, you'll support the pursuit and delivery of opportunities within the new energy and resources sector, focusing on developing a unique value proposition for clients.
  • Engineering Tasks and Analysis: Collaborate with project teams to design mechanical systems and equipment for civil construction and mining projects, conducting feasibility studies, calculations, and detailed engineering designs.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage complex large-scale projects, ensuring timely delivery, client satisfaction, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, communicating effectively to convey technical information and address project requirements.
  • Client Relationship and Sales: Develop strong key client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to select clients across the sector.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Engineering Degree: A relevant degree, with Professional Registration CPEng highly regarded.
  • Specialized Expertise: Demonstrated depth and/or breadth of expertise in Mechanical Engineering, with advanced theoretical knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Civil Engineering Methods: Robust knowledge of international and local Civil engineering methods, applicable codes, and specifications associated with resources projects.
  • Planning and Design: Experience with various aspects of planning, design, commissioning processes, construction methods, and interface requirements of multi-disciplinary projects.
  • EPC/EPCM Projects: Experience in delivering EPC and/or EPCM projects held in high regard.
