Aviation Sales Specialist

We are seeking a results-driven sales professional to drive revenue growth and market expansion across the aviation sector.

  • Drive new business acquisition and market penetration through high levels of outbound activity (cold calls, email outreach, and in-person visits)
  • Schedule and attend sales appointments; qualify prospects through expert discovery and align needs with Cirium's solutions
  • Define and execute a new business development strategy aligned with Cirium's goals and market trends
  • Negotiate and close agreements, ensuring value-based pricing and properly scoped contracts
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, tracking all activity, opportunity stages, and sales forecasts
  • Represent Cirium at industry conferences and events to expand your network and generate new leads
  • Analyse sales performance, report regularly, and develop action plans to drive continuous improvement

About the Role

As an Aviation Sales Specialist, your core mission is to drive new business growth by acquiring new clients across the aviation sector. You will play a critical role in expanding our footprint through proactive cold calling, targeted prospecting, and strategic closing to meet and exceed monthly billing targets.

You will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new logos, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver the best value and experience to potential clients. This is a hunter role, with a strong focus on building commercial relationships from the ground up and executing sales strategies that align with our goal to power every aviation decision with industry-leading data and analytics.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in North Sydney, with a 5-day office work arrangement.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business acquisition and market penetration through high levels of outbound activity (cold calls, email outreach, and in-person visits)
  • Schedule and attend sales appointments; qualify prospects through expert discovery and align needs with Cirium's solutions
  • Define and execute a new business development strategy aligned with Cirium's goals and market trends

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a results-driven sales professional with a passion for hunting new business and a strong ability to build relationships, understand client needs, and deliver tailored solutions. You'll bring a blend of commercial acumen, creativity, and persistence to drive revenue growth and market expansion.

  • Proven sales success in B2B environments—ideally within professional services, data, analytics, or SaaS / tech industries.
  • Strong lead generation and business development track record, with experience closing high-value deals.
  • Skilled in consultative and solution-based selling, with the ability to identify client pain points and craft tailored value propositions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, able to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven, with a relentless focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset, always looking for ways to improve, adapt, and innovate in a dynamic market.
  • Strategic thinker with the creativity to drive win-win outcomes and long-term partnerships.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced, changing environments, adjusting strategies to remain competitive.
