We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Practitioner - Generalist to join our team at Healthcarelink Support in Salamander Bay. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of making a difference in people's lives.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and motivated medical professional to join our growing practice. As a Medical Practitioner - Generalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients, including immunisations, triage, wound management, chronic disease management, and ECGs. You will also be required to assist with care plans, shared health summaries, and telehealth consultations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Immunisations and other injections
  • Triage
  • Wound management
  • Chronic disease management
  • ECGs
  • Explain procedures to patients, providing them with support and reassurance
  • Assisting with care plans and shared health summaries
  • Assisting with telehealth consultations
  • Assist doctors with clinical procedures and maintain clinical documentation
  • Daily co-ordination of the treatment room: stock control, sterilization, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
  • Implementing and practicing infection control
  • Assist with Reception and Practice Management duties
Requirements
  • Current Police Check
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Working with Children clearance
  • Current First Aid/CPR certificate
  • Immunisation Record
  • Driving licences or photo ID
  • Use of Best Practice programs preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of care plans and health assessments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A caring and collaborative approach to patient care
  • Proven multi-tasking, problem-solving and time management skills
