About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Workshop Welder to join our growing Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for welding and other related maintenance tasks to ensure our rigs are maintained and damage is attended to in a timely fashion, while adhering to quality, safety, and legislative standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read engineering, schematic, and mechanical diagrams, drawings, or specifications to determine job requirements
- Inspect, service, and repair rig equipment as needed to ensure reliable performance
- Complete fabrication or remedial welding to trade qualifications
- Perform fabrication repairs to equipment maintained to company requirements
- Provide effective support to rigs, camps, and the maintenance departments daily
- Use and operate all equipment in accordance with company and client policy and procedures
- Manage 3rd party work, quality, and invoicing, ensuring that third-party work orders are completed in a timely manner
- Conduct all work in accordance with current legislative and industry-specific requirements
- Keep abreast of changes in industry standards and regulations
- Work within the scope of your trade qualification
Requirements:
- Fabrication Trade Certificate 3 as a minimum requirement
- Current C (car) class driver's license
