Rio Tinto is seeking a highly skilled Senior Specialist – Procurement (Program Management Office) to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will play a critical role in delivering strategic analytical support, upskilling, and coordination of procurement activities to drive value and business improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic analytical support to senior leadership, influencing the direction of regional and global procurement teams.
  • Develop and implement reporting dashboards using Power BI or similar tools to drive business insights and improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document reporting requirements, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality reports.
  • Lead a small team of analysts to maintain and improve our suite of procurement spend and metric reports.
  • Coordinate and conduct training for stakeholders to upskill their capability and consistently apply best practices across the procurement cohort.
  • Act as a centralized reference point and key interface point for regional and global category teams, providing data and insights to drive procurement spend to automated and contracted buying channels.
  • Liaise with functional stakeholders across Finance, Business Transformation, Product Groups, and global procurement network to align methodologies for annual targets and procurement priorities.
What You'll Bring
  • A degree qualification with recent experience as an Analyst or Reporting Specialist, postgraduate qualifications or MBA highly desirable in technical or commercial disciplines.
  • Strong influencing, strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and communication capabilities.
  • Strong Excel technical skills, with experience developing reporting dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
