We are a renowned restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine, and we're seeking a skilled Chef to join our team in Springfield, QLD.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, plus superannuation.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional with a passion for Indian cuisine to take on a full-time position at our restaurant. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience as a chef, preferably with a focus on Indian cuisine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Menu Development and Planning: Design and plan a diverse menu featuring authentic Indian dishes, catering to a wide range of customers and seasonal preferences.
• Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Indian dishes, ensuring all meals meet our high standards and follow proper hygiene and food safety practices.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of each dish, ensuring consistency in presentation, taste, and freshness.
• Kitchen Supervision: Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and ensuring compliance with kitchen safety protocols.
• Customer Interaction: Engage with customers to gather feedback and incorporate suggestions, enhancing customer satisfaction.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and safe, following industry hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Qualifications: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Experience Requirement: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a chef, ideally with a focus on Indian cuisine.
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise in food preparation, cooking, and presentation, with a strong understanding of Indian ingredients, spices, and traditional cooking methods.
