Key Role: Design Assistant

We are seeking an experienced individual to join our team in Sydney.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with seasonal colour and textile print developments.
  • Prepare work requests for new style prototypes, development packs, and technical data sheets.
  • Liaise with garment technicians on work requests and follow up on sample developments.
  • Complete small design projects under guidance.
  • Use creative forecast services, magazines, colour authorities, websites, and market analysis to assist in providing information for trend directions, storyboards, and project work.
  • Collaborate and develop strong relationships with cross-functional teams and international sourcing teams.
  • Prepare quality presentations and sales tools for internal range showings, sales conferences, retail range showings.
Qualifications:
  • A degree in fashion design.
  • An understanding of fit and construction.
  • An innovative and creative approach to design and development.
  • Intermediate to high level experience in Excel and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Curiosity and team player capability.
  • Packaging development component awareness.
  • Previous exposure to PLM system.
  • Proven track record in similar design/product-related role.
  • Passion for building, developing, and optimising processes with sustainability in mind.
