About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Engine Driver to join our team at SeaLink Western Australia. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine engineering, with a focus on diesel engines, electrics, and plumbing systems. You will be required to work a mixture of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays, across our season from October to April.

Key responsibilities will include:

  1. Leading and managing a team of crew members
  2. Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of vessels
  3. Performing routine maintenance and repairs
  4. Collaborating with other departments to achieve operational goals

Requirements:

  • Current AMSA accreditation as an MED 2
  • Work rights for Australia for the duration of the contract
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively delegate tasks
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Outstanding customer service skills
