About the Role

As a Support Worker - Catering at Calvary Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional food service to our residents. Reporting to the Home Manager, you will work closely with the Chef/Cook and your team to deliver a high-quality catering service that meets the individual needs of each resident.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of food service under the direction of the Chef/Cook
  • Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet the dietary requirements, allergies, and cultural needs of each resident
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for food preparation and service
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Serve meals in a well-presented manner and at the appropriate temperature
  • Prepare trays and trolleys for each meal service as per the Calvary National Dining and Nutrition Guide

Requirements

  • Current Food Handlers Certificate
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • High standards in food preparation
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Current Covid-19 vaccinations including booster (unless assessed exempt)
