Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As an integral part of our healthcare organization, you will work closely with a Physical Therapist to deliver exceptional patient care.
About the Role- You will assist in preparing patients for therapy sessions and work independently when needed, with a Physical Therapist available via phone.
- You will use various modalities, including massage, as ordered by the Physical Therapist.
- Prepare patients for therapy sessions, ensuring they are comfortable and ready for treatment.
- Document patient information, including prescription details, accurately and efficiently.
- Bill patients accordingly, adhering to established procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, prioritizing patient care and efficient operations.
- Recommend appropriate supplies and equipment to support patient treatment.
- Respond promptly and appropriately in emergency situations.
- Participate in ongoing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest treatment procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
- To be successful in this role, you must have a strong foundation in physical therapy principles and practices.
- You should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- A current State of Illinois license to practice is required.
