About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Albany and Busselton. As a key member of our Allied Health team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based occupational therapy services to clients under Aged Care funding.

You will work collaboratively with our team to empower older adults to maintain their independence and participate in activities that bring them joy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients living in the community.
  • Provide high-quality occupational therapy services, including goal setting, intervention planning, and evaluation of progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress.
Requirements
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency.
  • Postgraduate experience working with a variety of aged care services, including community settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess occupational therapy needs and develop individualised programs for aged care clients living in the community.
  • Knowledge of wellness, re-ablement, and restorative care approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of BaptistCare's Christian identity and promote the organisation's values through interactions at work.
  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license and a reliable registered vehicle with minimum Third-Party Insurance.
