Regional Emergency Medicine Specialist Opportunity in Australia

Located just over a three hour drive from Melbourne, this vibrant regional city is one of Australia's largest regional centres. With regular flights to Melbourne or Sydney, you'll be able to travel easily and quickly to any of the nation's capital cities.
This beautiful city is situated between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, offering a picturesque setting for family picnics, swimming, canoeing and cycling. The region boasts a wealth of high quality educational institutions, including child care places, pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools, two universities and two TAFEs.
With an airport based in the city, you'll have easy access to daily flights. The city offers fantastic housing options for families of all sizes, with great shopping and many fine restaurants and golfing facilities to enjoy.
The hospital is one of the largest regional hospitals in Australia, supporting an outer catchment population of 250,000 and employing over 1,700 staff. As the regional Trauma Centre, the ED has 20 treatment areas, including 4 consulting rooms, a plaster room, an eye room, 12 general cubicles and 2 resuscitation beds.
We are looking for an Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team. As part of your role, you will work in a busy ED with minimal on-call commitments. You must hold the FACEM qualification or be eligible to do the ACEM Assessment.
In terms of salary, we estimate that this position pays around $300,000 per year, taking into account the cost of living in the area and the level of experience required.
