Job Opportunity:

This is a permanent part-time (0.75FTE) position commencing in the near future at Greenwood Primary School, located in the northern suburbs of Perth. The school boasts superbly landscaped grounds with thousands of native shrubs and plants, including many mature trees, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

The school features large grassed areas, an oval, cricket nets, tennis courts, basketball and netball facilities, as well as three playgrounds that encourage children to participate in various activities during breaks. Additionally, the school has introduced 'Loose Parts' play and an ever-developing adventure/nature playground.

About the Role:

The Cleaner in Charge will be responsible for inducting, training, leading, and managing cleaning staff, including relief staff; monitoring and ordering stock supplies within budget; maintenance and stocktake of cleaning equipment; undertaking cleaning of allocated internal and external areas; opening and locking the school, including setting the security alarm system; and conducting twice-daily handovers with the Manager Corporate Services.

The successful applicant will have good attention to detail and be able to work effectively with others to ensure a clean and safe school environment. They will also be organised, reliable, and punctual. Ideally, the candidate will work well both individually and as part of a team and possess excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment and safe cleaning procedures, methods, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Induct, train, lead, and manage cleaning staff
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and conduct stocktakes

  • Ensure the school's safety and security
