Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fixed plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, centrifuges, thickeners, pumps, and wash plant components.
  • Lead a team of mechanical and electrical tradespeople, contractors, and support staff to execute work activities within the Centralized Handling and Processing Plant (CHPP) safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Conduct fault-finding and diagnostic efforts on mechanical and electrical issues affecting CHPP plant performance.
  • Allocate daily tasks, set priorities, and ensure safe execution of maintenance activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments, permit approvals, and ensure Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) are in use and effective.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, permits, inspections, and downtime events.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor - Electrical to join our core team on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of tradespeople to carry out work activities within the CHPP safely, efficiently, and effectively. The role involves overseeing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of fixed plant equipment, conducting fault-finding and diagnostic efforts, and allocating daily tasks and setting priorities.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in Electrical or Engineering trade.
  • Previous experience in CHPP or Processing Plant Operations (or similar).
  • Computer software skills, including Microsoft Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • The ability to multitask and coordinate various projects.
  • A strong safety focus with the ability to promote and encourage safety practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
  • Proven experience in managing a team, providing guidance, and delegating tasks effectively to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • A strong focus on safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Current Coal Board Medical & Standard 11 qualifications.
  • Current S123 and G2 qualifications.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License.
  • A valid Right to Work in Australia.
