Job Role:
The Court Associate plays a pivotal role in supporting a Judge in the day-to-day management of Chambers and Court. This includes managing chambers, responding to enquiries, supervising Legal Associates or Deputy Associates, and assisting with the docket by preparing matters for hearing.
Main Responsibilities
- Day-to-day management of court chambers.
- Supervising legal staff and ensuring timely responses to enquiries.
- Assisting judges with case preparation and administration.
- Maintaining accurate records and data entry into case management systems.
- Organizing travel arrangements and coordinating meetings.
- Building relationships with external stakeholders and contributing to organisational forums.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills, including tact, discretion, initiative, and effective communication.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Tolerance, diligence, and a willingness to work as part of a small team.
- A high standard of ethical behaviour and integrity.
- Experience working in a legal environment.
