Position Overview

Role based in Dandenong (South Melbourne)

We are in search of a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work on a rotating shift schedule (2 weeks of day shifts followed by 2 weeks of afternoon shifts) as part of our reliability team, ensuring the smooth operation of a busy manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize operational downtime Conducting routine inspections and scheduled maintenance to enhance machine productivity Assisting in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery issues Managing inventory levels of spare parts to facilitate repairs Documenting and maintaining records of maintenance activities performed Adhering to company policies and procedures regarding Environmental, Health, and Safety standards

Qualifications and Skills

Possession of a Mechanical or Electrical Trade certificate; additional qualifications in hydraulics and pneumatics are advantageous Experience in the packaging sector is beneficial Strong verbal and written communication abilities A solid work ethic with the capability to work independently or collaboratively Familiarity with high-speed packaging machine automation Proficient in welding and machining techniques
