We are seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our clinical team at Good Shepherd Lodge Ltd, located in Mackay, Queensland.

As an Assistant in Nursing (AIN), you will be responsible for supporting the care of our elderly residents, assisting with their daily activities, and ensuring they receive the highest standard of care during night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and report on resident health status, including vital signs and general well-being.
  • Support registered nurses in providing high-quality care.
  • Maintain resident records and documentation in accordance with healthcare standards.
  • Assist in resident mobility and positioning.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and their families.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential).
  • Night shift availability (flexible shift options, including weekends).
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable, with a passion for working with elderly individuals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
  • National Police Check (required).
  • COVID-19 vaccination and other required immunizations.
