Corporate Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Tax Accountant to join our team at Pitcher Partners Australia.
As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical tax advice and reports, tax compliance, leading or coaching a team of junior tax professionals, problem-solving, and managing complex appointments and delivering within budgets while adding value.
You will work closely with clients to drive value, results, and innovation, and benefit from close interaction with partners, regular technical training and professional development, and a supportive social environment and community projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review technical tax advice and reports
- Tax compliance including the review of income tax returns and tax effect accounting calculations
- Leading or coaching a team of junior tax professionals
- Problem-solving, including identifying and implementing tax-effective structuring
- Managing complex appointments and delivering within budgets while adding value
- Development and delivery of internal tax training
- Interpreting complex legislation and delivering technically accurate and commercially appropriate advice to clients.
Requirements:
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Exemplary technical knowledge with exposure to tax & advisory services.
- Experience in Corporate Tax or Tax Consulting in a Mid-tier or Big 4 firm.
- Broad commercial expertise and judgment.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills | Main contact for most engagements, often dealing with more senior members of client staff.
- Intimate understanding of clients and our business, suggesting ways we can improve the clients or our own business or procedures.
- Able to write technical letters and reports.
- Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- Strong desire to learn and grow skills.
