Pathology Transport Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our pathology services team as a Courier. As a Courier, you will be responsible for the transportation of pathological specimens, samples, and vaccines to various locations, including medical centers, collection centers, hospitals, and veterinarian surgeries.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up and deliver pathological specimens, samples, and vaccines in accordance with established procedures and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with referring medical practitioners, patients, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless specimen delivery and receipt.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, and other relevant information.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines when handling and transporting hazardous materials.
  • Perform daily vehicle checks and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Comply with all regulatory requirements and company policies related to transportation and logistics.

Requirements:

  • Valid open driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple deliveries and pick-ups efficiently.
  • Physical capability to handle equipment weighing up to 10-15 kg.
  • Previous courier experience is highly advantageous.
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or valid visa with permission to work.
