Lead the integration of network assets and system services into Victoria's Declared Shared Network. This senior leadership role involves leading a team in delivering technical services to prepare the power system ahead of major plant closures and through the energy transition.

The focus is on strengthening power system resilience by overseeing network and system performance monitoring. Operational issues inform Network Planning, enabling proactive decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading technical services to integrate network assets and system services into Victoria's Declared Shared Network.
  • Overseeing network and system performance monitoring; ensuring operational issues inform Network Planning to strengthen power system resilience.
  • Providing expert technical advice to stakeholders on the operational shift from thermal generation to high renewable penetration.
  • Building and empowering a high-performing team; managing risk, compliance, and workforce planning.
  • Establishing strong stakeholder relationships and delivering action plans that support strategic goals.

For this role, we are seeking an individual with:

  • Appropriate tertiary and/or postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g., engineering).
  • Significant industry experience in power system planning with strong knowledge of power system modelling, analysis, and primary plant design.
  • Proven track record leading geographically dispersed teams through transformation, delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Demonstrated capability in project planning, reporting, and delivery, ensuring timely completion to agreed quality standards.
  • Advanced consulting and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders and negotiate complex technical matters.
  • In-depth understanding of the political, legal, and regulatory environment of the energy sector.
