Warehouse Support Team Member

Job Description: Warehouse Assistant - Kincumber

We are seeking a skilled and organized individual to support the daily operations of our warehouse in Kincumber. The successful candidate will have experience with warehousing and stock sorting, excellent customer service skills, and knowledge of sewing and related crafts is highly regarded.

The role involves receiving donations, categorizing, sorting, and dispatching products, as well as providing excellent customer support to ensure a positive shopping experience. You will build positive relationships with volunteers and staff to facilitate effective teamwork in the warehouse and retail store.

Responsibilities:
  • Support a team of employees and volunteers in operating the donated goods process, including categorizing, sorting, and dispatching products.
  • Provide excellent customer support to ensure a positive shopping experience, focusing on achieving good outcomes for customers.
  • Build positive relationships with volunteers and staff to facilitate effective teamwork in the warehouse and retail store.
  • Contribute to the safe operation of the warehouse, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
  • Assist the supervisor with task allocation to volunteers and staff, including categorizing, sorting, pricing stock, dispatching to retail outlets, replenishing displays, and customer service.
  • Coordinate with other supervisors to meet sales channel requirements in line with management directives.

Requirements:
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock sorting operations.
  • Understanding of high-standard customer service principles.
  • Knowledge of sewing, quilting, and related crafts is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and coordinate tasks with team members.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Current NDIS Worker Check.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
  • Willingness to learn Point of Sales systems.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 15kg.
