About the Role

Pacific National is seeking a highly skilled Internal Audit Specialist to join our team. As an Internal Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness of our risk management, control, and governance processes.

Reporting to our Head of Internal Audit, you will be responsible for performing operational and process audits across various business groups. Your primary objective will be to assist the business in achieving its objectives by improving the overall quality of our processes and operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit Planning and Execution: Implement the approved audit plan by leading and conducting end-to-end internal audits, ensuring that all necessary steps are taken to gather accurate and reliable information.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, fostering a culture of assurance and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
  • Expert Advice and Support: Provide expert audit advice and support to leaders, helping them to improve processes and risk management outcomes.
  • Findings and Recommendations: Communicate findings, recommend improvements, and verify the resolution of corrective actions in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Experience in internal or external audit within a complex organisation;
  • Certified Internal Auditor / Chartered Accountant / Certified Practicing Accountant qualifications;
  • An excellent understanding of auditing rules and regulations;
  • Relevant industry experience in rail and logistics is highly regarded.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
