Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Steward to join our team at Sofitel Adelaide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by ensuring all floors, work areas, and equipment are clear of hazards and obstructions.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen cleaning equipment to high standards.
  • Sanitize and clean cooking preparation areas, storerooms, and workrooms to the highest standards.
  • Wash and clean dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and food preparation machines, as well as floors, counters, and work tables.
  • Clean and maintain cooking and general utensils used in the kitchen and restaurant area.
  • Assist chefs within the scope of your abilities and training.
  • Perform general pantry duties.

Requirements

  • Organized and a great team player with a passion for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Problem solver and strives for excellence in all aspects of the job.
  • Proven experience in following high standards of cleanliness and maintaining them.
  • Guest-orientated and physically fit for a physically demanding role.
