Cloud Infrastructure Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable cloud-native systems.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in Microsoft Azure architecture and management, with expertise in Azure services (e.g., Virtual Machines, Networking, Security) and infrastructure as code tools (e.g., ARM, Terraform, Ansible).

You will be responsible for architecting and maintaining cloud infrastructure, leading IT initiatives, optimizing cloud configurations for cost-effectiveness and reliability, and providing technical leadership to stakeholders and vendors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, cloud-native, and hybrid systems.
  • Oversee the design of whole network architecture.
  • Conduct architecture assessments across projects and programs.
  • Oversee and govern data centre, server, and communication management.
  • Advise stakeholders on selecting and integrating technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with the CIO to maintain sustainable, secure IT architecture.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security, legal, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud configurations to balance cost and performance.
  • Advocate for emerging technologies that deliver value.
  • Architect cost-effective solutions while managing risks effectively.
  • Provide expertise in resolving issues within the cloud environment.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for critical applications.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure architecture and management.
  • Deep skills in Azure services and infrastructure as code tools.
  • Strong understanding of cloud and network design principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Technology.
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is a plus.

This is a mid-senior level role based in Melbourne. Please note you must be based in Australia to apply for this role.
