Explosives Operator Job Description

We are seeking skilled Explosives Operators to join our team at a quarry site in the Isaac region.

The role involves operating mobile plant units, managing explosives and providing a safe working environment for colleagues.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating mobile plant units as part of a drill and blast operation
  • Managing and storing explosives in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience as an Explosives Operator within quarrying operations
  • Standard 11 or willingness to obtain
  • QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card OR ability to obtain one
  • Statement of Attainment or proven training in conducting mobile mixing of explosives
