Job Opportunity

The Nurse Unit Manager role presents a leadership challenge to implement the core values of Central Gippsland Health in supporting effective management and professional leadership within an integrated healthcare service.

This position will lead Community Nursing Services, encompassing District Nursing, Community Palliative Care, specialist nursing services (diabetes, respiratory, continence clinics and prostate cancer nurse) and Pathways to Good Health program, optimising service delivery across all services.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a culture of excellence, ethical conduct, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Coordinate the implementation of policies and procedures ensuring staff adherence.
  • Participate in senior-level decision-making processes and communicate with executives on organisational matters as required.
  • Utilise critical and reflective thinking skills in contributing to decision-making.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse Division 1 current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in business/health management or working towards same.
  • Membership of relevant professional college/organisation.
  • Able to provide a current satisfactory National Police Certificate and Working with Children Check.
