**Duty Technician Role**

We're seeking a skilled technician to join our resort's maintenance team. This role offers a unique blend of leisure and work opportunities on the Gold Coast.

As a Duty Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining the resort's infrastructure, plant, and equipment. This includes performing repairs and maintenance tasks, identifying potential issues, and carrying out preventative maintenance programs.

**Key Responsibilities Include:**

  • Performing repairs and maintenance to guest rooms, plant rooms, refrigeration equipment, air conditioning plant, electrical, water, and gas consumption
  • Proactively identifying maintenance issues and assessing property conditions
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance program and assisting with engineering tasks and projects
  • Providing a high-quality service to guests
  • Building strong relationships with team members, departments, and contractors
  • Maintaining a safe workplace and proactively managing health, safety, and environment issues according to policy and process

**Requirements and Qualifications**

  • Previous building maintenance experience in a hotel/resort or similar workplace environment
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance services and general building and equipment maintenance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Trade qualification desirable but not essential
  • Computer skills in MS Office
  • Attention to detail, initiative, and strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with contractors and in a team environment
  • Clear communication skills providing guests with a high standard of customer service
