Job Overview
The Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the Manager and Governance Group in implementing the Western Melbourne Justice Reinvestment project. This position requires strong research skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to cultural safety.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement data collection strategies to meet the needs of the project.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Conduct literature reviews and data analysis to inform research reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with community researchers to build their capacity and provide guidance on research methodologies.
- Develop and implement evaluation frameworks to assess project effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in research and skills in data collection, data entry, interviewing, survey administration in either a university or research focused role at an organization.
- Demonstrated or desire to develop knowledge and skills in Aboriginal research design methodologies.
- A Victorian Employees Working with Children's Check card or willing to obtain one.
- Willing to obtain a Police Check at Djirra's expense.
