About the Role:

The primary objective of this position is to oversee and drive critical aspects related to Incident Management, Problem Management, High Availability, Disaster Recovery, Backup & Restore from a database perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, upgrades, performance tuning, security management, and high availability strategy implementation are essential responsibilities.
  • Working independently in large-scale production environments requires strong expertise in SAP HANA Database administration.
  • Ase/Db2 experience is a significant advantage.
  • Responsibilities also include scripting, automation, and documentation of day-to-day operations.
  • Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing and tuning systems, as well as performance optimization, is crucial.
  • Database installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation require meticulous attention to detail.
  • Organizing and structuring day-to-day documentation is also a vital responsibility.
  • Cloud knowledge, particularly in Public Cloud Domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP, is desirable but not essential.

Requirements:

  • Over 9+ years of work experience as a Database Administrator in Global Operations team (primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms) is mandatory.
  • A proven track record of operational experience and on-call experience is necessary.
  • Backup & Recovery, HA/DR Strategy, Scripting & automation exposure is essential.
  • A professional certification of Database Platforms with exposure to Project Management tasks including PMP and ITIL certification is preferred.
