Teaching Academic English in China

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English language instructor to deliver academic English programs for international students.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a minimum 5-week period of induction at our training facility before locating to China to deliver English programs on a continuing basis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting English language classes, focusing on preparing students for academic study.
  • Evaluating student progress through various methods, including exams, assignments, and presentations.
  • Providing constructive feedback and support to students, encouraging their language development.
  • Integrating best practice teaching and technology to enhance students' English skills and ensure positive outcomes.
  • Collaborating with fellow teachers and staff to achieve program objectives effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A minimum Australian-recognised Bachelor degree and TESOL qualification.
  • Significant teaching experience.
  • A willingness and ability to work in China for at least 12 months.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow a prescribed curriculum and learning framework and differentiate delivery to individual student abilities, language levels, needs, and interests.
  • Demonstrated high-level interpersonal skills, including the capacity to develop constructive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated computer and organisational skills to ensure reporting and administrative tasks are completed accurately.
