The selected candidate will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with vendors and third-party relationships.

This is a critical role in the Optus Vendor Security Governance program, ensuring robust cybersecurity practices, risk assessments, and compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Optus Vendor Security Governance program across all business units.
  • Supporting cybersecurity compliance activities and delivering management reports.
  • Handling escalations, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring timely issue resolution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of vendor and third-party risks, expertise in information security and cyber risks, and extensive experience in risk assessments, cybersecurity practices, and compliance management.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent (or relevant experience), CISSP accreditation, and excellent stakeholder management and communication skills are also essential.
